Youtube has pretty much felt like alien territory to me for quite some time now tbqh. I don't especially like where fandom culture and attitude's at most of the time, AI constantly invading creative spaces actively makes me sick, nor very often does fandom editing feel as meaningful, given the generally horrifying state of the world.
I do always miss and hope to regain some enthusiasm for long edits, at least every once in a while (and I do still love crossover work the "old-fashioned", cookie-cutter/mask-based way, just building on actors' actual scenes and expressions)...so even when that inspiration comes in the form of a rather overused love song and characters that have been with me for 5+ years that only I and maybe one other soul will care about (you know who you are 💗), it seems worth taking. If only for these guys to exist in some more concrete form than inner thougts, singular manips accumulated through the years and sparse writing bits 😶‍🌫️

If you'd like, you can see this as a crossover featuring the most random combination of people...or, if anyone remembers this video from 2019: youtu.be/5vtpfC2RogQ , this is supposed to be set in the same universe: Elàthan and Grìan, featuring here, are Nàr's twin children, inheriting their share of unpredictably manifesting powers from her (Elàthan is an empath, who also diligently picked up sword-training as what he felt as 'compensation' for his very non-offensive skillset; while Grìan is an elemental mage in the more 'traditional' sense).

The third generation of the Ibnàri family story is very much a sibling story at its core – about how to survive the loss of self in very high-fantasy, dealing-with-magical-powers-too metaphorical terms, to summarize it in a very concise way; also, about how love sometimes isn't enough but no less meaningful and event-shaping. However, somewhere along the way I started thinking about how the family line could best continue on, and my tragedy-lover -and always romance-starved- self decided to add doomed lovers to an already loaded mix. And this, after a rather long-winded premise, is the primary subject of this particular video: a focus on Elàthan (always wearing his heart on his sleeve even in a nest of vipers), his lady Agne (always juggling court schemes and actual ~feelings~, mind and heart at constant war) and the legacy their love creates in their son, in spite of everything falling apart around them. Not the first proper edit I expected to ever get done about possibly my favourite generation to plot for (making something focused on the twins remains high on my list of things I hope to get under my belt, as they and their bond move the story the most and there's a lot of myself poured there ❤️‍🩹), but 2025 was the year where I started to get more definite ideas about gen 4 of this family, which is also why these unfortunate beans and their relationship have had my heart and been on my mind a lot.
