Soooo. That was some LONG hiatus! I’m so very sorry about being basically zero active on YT this year. As an excuse I could say my uni year has not been the best (and now I am some exams behind with my schedule), plus I have a very sh*tty Internet line atm and so I can rarely come and watch videos if I don’t want to consume all of my Gbs in one go ^^ I really hope that I can change my Internet contract soon!
Let’s also say that my inspiration has not been helpful, since I started about 1000 different projects through the months and every single time I couldn’t get past the first ten seconds…I’m sure every vidder has been familiar with this block at some point or another – just maybe not for eight months!
In any case, sorry to everyone who didn’t get a reply from me, to subscriptions or comments – it was just me being busy/not being able to stay on YT long, not in the least because I don’t appreciate them, because I DO! You’re 1200+ now, and everytime I look at my subs counter I just can’t believe my eyes!

So, while having to wait to catch up with some recent tv series I am very intrigued about (namely Outlander and Penny Dreadful) because of the same lame Internet line, I am stuck with my good old favourites; and then I heard this fabulous new song (I just adore FOB!) and the refrain made me think of historical people, so here you have it, paired with my favourite historical trio of dysfunctional brothers. I know basically no one vids TWQ anymore (which sucks), but who caaaaares – these three were sheer brilliance and I love them so much, both the show version and the historical characters. Plus this summer I went to England again and visited some places from the Wars of the Roses (including Bosworth Field where they reenacted the battle in which Richard died ;_;), and I saw David Oakes in his “Shakespeare in Love” London stage production – so the York brothers are still very much on my mind :3
The video particularly focuses on the brothers' more ambitious/dangerous side.

$Rey & Ben ❖ Underneath [HBD Kim!] ❝I dont want to hide any part of me from you.❞ [HD + earphones] Posted this a few, tiny minutes before it turns into the 12th, because apparently I like living dangerously...but actually POSTED it. Considering I was forced to turn my last birthday video attempt into a Christmas present because of my nasty habit to get stuck on nearly-finished projects, Ill count this as improvement. To anyone not knowing, today (I should probably say yesterday by the time Im writing this description) was the birthday of one of the loveliest, most empathetic and insightful (and lets not forget frigging *talented*!) people youll ever meet, if youre fortunate enough: Kim aka @ofdurinsfolk. I simply cannot remember how I ever went by without the certainty and wonderful ease of our conversations, and this video is probably only enough to cover a tiny fraction of the appreciation I feel. I hope you had the best of days...peculiar presents aside :D ♥ However, what was forged in the fires of surviving the JJerrio debacle can only be celebrated by saving what we love out of it, and in that fashion I am here to (hopefully) provide with more of our favourite, star-crossed space enemies-to-lovers who, after everything that happened, deserved their happy fairytale ending and to heal together...and at least in our (infinitely better) headcanons, they can. (Whats that? Theres footage post-kiss? Never heard of it). I seriously think that, in spite of the huge waste of potential the ST suffered from in some areas, Reylo may still have ruined the etl trope forever for me as far as live action goes. No one simply comes close to the actually perfectly balanced dynamic, the need for connection built on deep personal trauma, the raw honesty and utter lack of manipulation through it all. No one will ever let me go as hard with the umasking-each-other-in-every-possible-sense-of-the-word and the i-am-talking-with-or-about-you-but-actually-i-am-also-talking-about-myself metas...*sigh* I just miss them, and looking forward to more of their story, so much sometimes. This song is more obviously readable from Bens POV (aka the guy physically *underneath* the big, bad black mask), but I think it fits Rey too, since she also demonstrates a tendency to hide under her own happy-go-lucky mask and to run away/stall rather than facing painful truths about herself (which is actually one of her character traits Ive always found most relatable. Self-sabotaging is a pain, and a very real one). $Star Wars | Journeying Hearts {seven emotions challenge; thc} [HD + earphones] Made for the March round of the Hogwarts Contest Seven Emotions. I honestly thought I wasnt going to make it because I wasnt ispired *at all* for this round, but then suddenly this idea hit me very late in the month, and I found myself running against time to meet the deadline ^^ not my best idea probably, but Im fairly happy with the result. And the fact that my new computer is a total lifesaver and renders unbelievably fast (for my standards, at least) helped, too :D (Also, sorry to all my non-SW subcribers, it seems I am on a spree with my first fandom again ^^ but I have different projects in motion, too!) For this round we had to make a video showcasing seven different emotions. I didnt want to make another multifandom, and then while thinking about the number seven it hit me that there are seven Star Wars movies now...so I thought about going about it slightly differently and assign one emotion to each movie and try telling the story as a whole through them ^-^ it wasnt easy to find a single emotion that would suit each film (especially since SW is a true rollercoaster of feels to me), and you may disagree with some of my choices, but Ill leave you my reasons for them here - and if you enjoy the video at all, let me know your thoughts ♥ TPM → Loneliness: because its an emotion all the main three go through in the film. Padmé is alone fighting for her peoples survival in a Senate that wont help her; Anakin feels lonely without his mother; and Obi-Wan is left alone by Qui-Gons death (I also imagine, as Qui-Gon was quite an indipendent spirit and often clashed with the rest of the Council, that Obi as his student wasnt very often around other Padawans his age); AOTC → Attachment: because its Anakins main problem throughout the films, and at the very heart of this particular one. Attachment is a love that is too strong, and walks hand in hand with the inability to let go of those we love; and in Anakins reaction to his mothers death one can already foresee what it is that will doom him in the end. ROTS → Despair: guess not many explanations are needed for this one. The light side hits rock bottom in this film... ANH → Hope: another obvious choice starting from the title of the film. I think ANH is the most hopeful out of all films; also, hope is the direct opposite of despair, and while episode III is the end of a descending arc, episode IV is the start of an ascending one. TESB → Shock: because the first scene that always comes to mind with episode V is the infamous Vader/Luke shocking revelation, but Han, Leia and Chewie go through it too when they are betrayed on Bespin and Han is frozen into carbonite. ROTJ → Compassion: because its the turning point of the film. Luke refuses the dark side because he feels his fathers suffering and he realizes the same fate will be his own if he does not; and Vaders soul is saved because he is pierced by Lukes pain and wants to put an end to it. Through compassion (or unconditional love, in Anakins words) they save each other and this is why ROTJ will probably always make me cry like a baby ç_ç TFA → Wonderment: the wonder in Reys eyes is one of the things that stayed with me after seeing the film, and I think one of the goals of this new SW was definitely to bring back that sense of wonder of the previous films and involve a new generation with it, so thats why I chose this emotion (even though I was sorry not to include more characters from the movie). ~Challenge info~ ► My emotions: loneliness, attachment, despair, hope, shock, compassion, wonderment ► House Gryffindors unity: instrumental music A huge shoutout goes to my dearest Lauren (laurenmcquilty) who bore with me all the time while I was panicking and brainstorming over this video.
