Last video before leaving for Ethiopia for two weeks!
Of course I had literally just written in my tag video that vidding friendships usually comes more easily to me than ships...and then these two came along and proved me completely wrong!
'The White Queen' is brilliant, I have fallen in love with it completely over the last few weeks. It is artfully shot, and the cast is amazing as a whole (not to mention, very pretty to look at too! *-*), and I've always wanted to know more about the War of the Roses and now I got the chance to do so. I so want to read all kinds of books related to the subject now! And I recommend the series so much! Definitely expect me to vid it again ^_^
After last episode I couldn't NOT vid these two *-* they have won my heart straight away! Last episode was so romantic and I was literally jumping on my seat with joy, and it had been a long time since I had last felt so strongly for two characters. I went to search more info and the story of Richard III and Anne Neville is going to be very sad eventually (plus history really mistreated Richard thanks to the negative Tudor propaganda D:) and I'm sure I'm going to bawl my eyes out, but for now I am all giddy about their beautiful romance in the show.

Alternate title to this video: Vale ends up vidding dubstep music in her usual style, because I really cant do elaborate effects. The quality of the result, I guess, is yours to decide! In any case, poll had spoken, and I took a break from crossover manips and delivered :)
This project is one of many that had been sitting on my to-do folder forever Im really happy its seen the light of day at long last! What can I say, I had missed vidding my Faustian prequel boy ♥
I also realized later that this song not only is perfect for him (and particularly his fall into the dark side, with his visions of the future tormenting him), but the title of the remix offered me an irresistible internal pun on a silver platter, so I just couldnt *not* take that opportunity.
By the way, something I noticed just now even after all these years Haydens original Anakin is a bit less dark than Italian Anakin? In particular, I was rewatching the scene where he admits to Padmé that he killed all the Tuskens, and in English Haydens voice, while expressing anger, has a strong undertone of regret, breaking several times, while in Italian dub he sounds a lot angrier and more hateful rather than remorseful. From the English you get a strong sense of self-hatred from that scene that in Italian goes a bit lost, I think. (And then they said Hayden cant act 🙄). The subtle differences voiceacting can make are fascinating!

WotR, long time no see! This was one of my older projects I was too stubborn to drop completely, and honestly I am glad I didnt, because I had missed vidding my favourite dysfunctional medieval royals. I think this song is pretty perfect for any royal family really, despite its very modern sound, and how they must appear as perfect models and a united family for the common people despite the ugliness that might occur behind the scenes. And ugliness between relatives and in-laws certainly was a daily occurrence where the Plantagenets (& wives) of all ages were involved...
Everyone who knows me a little will know I have certain favourites in the family and I usually tend to take their sides in everything, but with this video I tried to be as impartial as possible, so everyone gets their share of shadiness as portrayed in the show xD (even though history shouldnt make it possible for me to make parallels between EoY and Mistress Shore...but historical inaccuracy and how much it irks me is a topic for another time ^^). I also tried a somewhat different style of editing (huge inspiration provided by this wonderful ATLA video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BX35SvC7pSE), so I would very much like to hear what you think of it :)
And last but not least, I hit the 2k wall sometime in August WHAT. IN. THE. WORLD. I still have no words for such a number :O thank you so much for all the support and comments, they are always superappreciated! I hope this video can serve as a little thank you ♥

Posted this a few, tiny minutes before it turns into the 12th, because apparently I like living dangerously...but actually POSTED it. Considering I was forced to turn my last birthday video attempt into a Christmas present because of my nasty habit to get stuck on nearly-finished projects, Ill count this as improvement.
To anyone not knowing, today (I should probably say yesterday by the time Im writing this description) was the birthday of one of the loveliest, most empathetic and insightful (and lets not forget frigging *talented*!) people youll ever meet, if youre fortunate enough: Kim aka @ofdurinsfolk. I simply cannot remember how I ever went by without the certainty and wonderful ease of our conversations, and this video is probably only enough to cover a tiny fraction of the appreciation I feel. I hope you had the best of days...peculiar presents aside :D ♥
However, what was forged in the fires of surviving the JJerrio debacle can only be celebrated by saving what we love out of it, and in that fashion I am here to (hopefully) provide with more of our favourite, star-crossed space enemies-to-lovers who, after everything that happened, deserved their happy fairytale ending and to heal together...and at least in our (infinitely better) headcanons, they can. (Whats that? Theres footage post-kiss? Never heard of it). I seriously think that, in spite of the huge waste of potential the ST suffered from in some areas, Reylo may still have ruined the etl trope forever for me as far as live action goes. No one simply comes close to the actually perfectly balanced dynamic, the need for connection built on deep personal trauma, the raw honesty and utter lack of manipulation through it all. No one will ever let me go as hard with the umasking-each-other-in-every-possible-sense-of-the-word and the i-am-talking-with-or-about-you-but-actually-i-am-also-talking-about-myself metas...*sigh* I just miss them, and looking forward to more of their story, so much sometimes.
This song is more obviously readable from Bens POV (aka the guy physically *underneath* the big, bad black mask), but I think it fits Rey too, since she also demonstrates a tendency to hide under her own happy-go-lucky mask and to run away/stall rather than facing painful truths about herself (which is actually one of her character traits Ive always found most relatable. Self-sabotaging is a pain, and a very real one).

So, normal people vid sad stuff when theyre upset about something...and then theres me, who vids sad stuff as a normal occurrence and then when Im upset I pick the project with the most upbeat song to finish because I just dont want to think about more sad things and how much I am going to miss (and miss already...) one person that was very dear to me. At least via vidding something good can actually come out of this real downer of a September...and my grandpapa was the biggest superhero comic fan, so Id like to think at least he would like the subject matter here. I am going to miss you so much...
(as for the video: yeah I am Telltale trash, the GOT game has ruined me for life and I am not going to stop any time soon. Ive never been much into superhero stories, but of all of them Batman always struck me as one of the most interesting [I love how he has a lot of grey areas and that he doesnt need actual superpowers to be awesome], and as the universe with the most interestingly complex characters especially villains so naturally I was curious about the new game...and it is indeed pretty cool. And to me the crazy chemistry and constant teasing/innuendo between these two is one of the best things about it as of now, so ofc vid happened. Stop giving me ships to ship, Telltale!)
