Crying forever because of how heartbreakingly beautiful these two are. They were and still are my very first brotp, and I guess in the irrational way we hold on to our first loves they will keep shattering all my feels to pieces until the end of my days ç.ç
Prequels haters gonna hate, but to me the relationship between Anakin and Obi-Wan will always be one of the best things (if not *the* best thing) about SW. And if you tell me that Ewan and Hayden’s portrayals didn’t add a whole new universe of layers and depth to the original Vader and Obi-Wan, then you’re either lying to yourself or blind, and nothing will ever make me think otherwise.
I also think the first CW cartoon is awfully underrated and has a whole lot of awesome scenes and plotlines (will forever love the Nelvaan Quest episodes…and will forever love Obi being grumpy in the rain, and him and Ani making a generator explode and then strolling away together in the middle of the battle like total bosses just a little while earlier :D), so that’s why I decided to put it to good use here. About the video as a whole, well…I’ve been wanting to make a new video about these two with better quality clips (and hopefully better editing skills, too ^^) for basically forever, and I cannot begin to explain how much it means to me to have finished this. I guess to me this video is also a sort of testament of how much I’ve learned in these years of vidding, since these two were my very first topic to explore with Sony Vegas – I’ve grown up with them as beloved characters and I believe I’ve grown up with them as a vidder too, and this is another reason why they will always be special to me. As soon as I heard this powerful song I knew it was the one (even if it’s quite a hard song to vid, with its constant rhythm changes!), and for once I’m pretty happy with the result. I hope you will enjoy as well – and if you do, any comments would be super-appreciated, especially since I spent a ridiculous amount of time on this ♥
