The "South of France". This cocktail, which uses a French apricot jam, is a wonderful fruity gem. The Cognac brings a nice pear note that pairs well with the orange and lemon flavors. I think this is a great year round sipper that can even be enjoyed as a breakfast cocktail!!!!
Ingredients include:
30 mil/1 oz Gin
30 mil/1 oz Cognac (Noces Royales pear liqueur)
15 mil/.5 oz Cointreau
22.5 mil/.75 oz Lemon juice
10 mil/.33 oz Simple syrup (1:1)
2 Barspoons of Apricot jam
2 dashes of Ginger bitters
Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice
Shake for 10-12 seconds
Serve over ice in a rocks glass
Garnish with a lemon peel
