Should you add weight to your plyometrics?
It depends.
🏋🏽♂️ Force deficient athletes tend to be:
Younger
Weaker
Naturally elastic
DSI more than 0.8
They benefit from intensifying training.
Traditional strength training and intensifying Plyos with load, longer ground contact, etc.
🐇 Velocity deficient athletes tend to be:
Older
Stronger
Less elastic
DSI less than 0.6
They benefit from training shorter ground contacts, low load or asssisted Plyos, etc.
📊 In general athletes tend to do what they’re good at.
Like how flexible people go to yoga.
🤨 So if you think you need to add weight to your Plyos probably not.
