Day 18
I found a magic rod. It works more like a fire rod, but there's something different about it. I also found the nightmare key after a grueling ordeal. The monster guarding the final instrument was a giant ball of fire. None of my attacks worked against it until I tried the magic rod. I was surprised it worked. Usually fire would make this kind of creature stronger.
I destroyed it and it left behind the words of doom for this island. I picked up the drum and the now clear voice of something told me to go to the egg on top of the mountain.
I can't go there yet. I want to walk this island once more so it will remain in my memory. I...also need to say goodbye to Marin. She's been so kind to me. I do wonder if she knows this is all a dream since she tried to wake the Wind Fish.
