Our hotel in Shiba Park was in walking distance to the Tokyo icon Tokyo Tower. The orange and white communications and observation tower has been on the Tokyo skyline since 1958 and was the tallest tower in Japan until 2012 when Tokyo Skytree was built. Skyscrapers have grown up around it, but it still offers gorgeous views of the sprawling city that is Tokyo. On clear days, you can see Mt Fuji. It has two observation levels and we only went to the first one, it was a hazy day so views of Mt Fuji were out of the question. They also have a relatively new Diamond Tour. There is a gift shop and restaurants at Foot Town at the foot of the tower. I read reviews that said the views weren't worth it but I think the views were spectacular and well worth the visit. #travel #tokyo #tokyotower #tokyotravel #japan #japantravel #japanvlog
