From the cruise port of Shimizu, Japan, we visited the area aroun Mt Fuji or Mount Fuji. We visited an area with two waterfalls - Shiraito No Taki and Otodome No Taki in a beautiful area with views of Mt Fuji, waterfall viewing areas and trails. We then visitied Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine, a shinto shrine with a history longer than the written history that started in the ninth century. It sits in a town a the foothills of Mt Fuji. We then walked through a pine grove, Miho No Matsubara Pine Grove, to a black sand beach, Miho No Matsubara Beach, which has views of Mt Fuji when she is isn't covered by clouds. It was a beautiful day with nature and a shrine and stunning views of Mt. Fuji.
