We took the Underground Tour - Jump on board and and discover a magical underground world which dates back 428 million years.
Enjoy sound and light shows, historic recreations and informative commentary delivered by your knowledgeable skipper.
Learn about the material which was mined here and how it shaped the Industrial Revolution and advances in canal building.
Marvel at how tropical sea-beds worked their way up through the earth to deposit amazing and unique fossils in our caverns.
We learned about Limestone Mining, the different mines in the area, enjoyed the history of the mines in three shows and enjoyed fun commentary while relaxing in the canal boat. You can visit Dudley Canal and Caverns separately or they are connected to The Black Country Museum. It was a great way to spend an hour. The cost at the time we took the tour in 2022 was £10 per person.
