Subnautica 2 player stats are here, and in this video I go through the Early Access community highlights infographic showing what players have been doing across the ocean so far. We look at total playtime, total prints, multiplayer sessions, solo sessions, deaths, survival stats, resources collected, Tadpoles crafted, Water Slugs caught, Collector Leviathan bodies collected, Great Jaw kills, batteries crafted, power cells crafted, consumables used, and more.
According to the Subnautica 2 player data, players have already racked up 58,451,204 combined hours played, which is about 6,672.5 years of total playtime. Across all players, there have been 42,809,226 total prints, with 8,350,872 multiplayer sessions started compared to 28,001,623 solo sessions started. Players have also shared 641,280 saves, and 17.2% of players completed the first chapter story in EA 1.0.
The survival stats are also pretty brutal. The top cause of reprint is running out of oxygen, with 15,636,881 deaths, making up 42.6% of the top causes listed. Wildlife damage comes in second with 7,078,758 deaths, and dehydration comes in third with 6,653,314 deaths. So yes, even in Subnautica 2, the number one predator is still forgetting that you need air. Classic ocean behavior.
Players have also traveled a total of 545,615,747 kilometers, which is apparently 86.8% of the way to Jupiter. That is far enough to nearly reach another planet, but still not far enough to outswim a Leviathan. The resource numbers are huge too, with 1,351,109,893 pieces of Titanium collected, 471,394,993 pieces of Quartz collected, and 459,055,682 pieces of Copper collected.
The creature and item stats are just as wild. Players have caught 331,158,345 Water Slugs, collected 2,007,719 printed bodies from the Collector Leviathan, and 234,629 players did not make it out after dealing with the Great Jaw. On the item side, players have crafted 5,887,642 Tadpoles, with the highest known number of Tadpoles owned by a single player being 195 in one game. Players have also consumed 702,490,282 consumables, crafted 46,320,775 basic batteries, and crafted 5,368,505 power cells.
This video is a Subnautica 2 Early Access player stats breakdown, community data showcase, and player achievement recap. I go through the infographic, talk about the biggest numbers, and look at what these stats say about how people are actually playing Subnautica 2.
I also briefly talk about what predator might become the next big danger when the new area is added to Subnautica 2. Do you think the Tar Eel, the Collector Leviathan, or the mysterious shadowy creature teased in the Swimming Forward dev vlog will become the next most dangerous predator in Subnautica 2?
Thanks for watching.
