Subnautica 2 EA Patch 1.1 added more than just the official Adaptive Measures patch notes. In this video, I showcase several leaked unfinished items, vehicles, and machinery that were added or updated in the new Subnautica 2 Early Access 1.1 patch, including the Sea Frog Tadpole chassis, the updated Trident Submarine, a massive resource grinding machine, new cyan pigment, and a cyan and pink glowstick related to it.
The biggest highlight is the Sea Frog chassis, which is a Tadpole chassis that now has a basic unfinished model. Instead of just being a hidden name or placeholder, the Sea Frog now properly looks like an underwater mech suit. It can run underwater, jump underwater, move around like a mech-style vehicle, and even has an overheating system that can damage the vehicle if pushed too far. This is clearly unfinished, but it gives us a much better look at what this future Subnautica 2 vehicle could become.
I also show the updated Trident Submarine, which has been changed again in the Subnautica 2 EA Patch 1.1 files. Some of the older in-sub components like the tractor beam and radar appear to have been removed or stripped back, but the Trident has also gained new functionality. It can now be driven, it has impact alerts to warn you before crashing, and it can properly dock up to four Tadpole submarines inside without breaking the game. That is a huge step forward for what looks like Subnautica 2’s larger mobile base-style submarine concept.
Along with the Sea Frog mech suit and Trident Submarine, I also showcase a massive unfinished resource grinding machine. This thing looks like one of those real-world industrial garbage shredders that can chew through huge objects, including cars. It appears to be some kind of resource grinding, shredding, or processing machine being tested in the files. It is not finished yet, but it is one of the more interesting hidden pieces of machinery added with the new patch.
The update also includes a new cyan pigment and a cyan and pink glowstick item that seems related to it. These are unfinished hidden items, but they could point toward future crafting, customization, lighting, decoration, resource processing, or base-building systems in Subnautica 2.

The Sea Frog chassis, Trident Submarine, resource grinder, cyan pigment, glowstick, and other hidden assets may change, be removed, or work completely differently before they are officially released. But right now, they give us a very interesting look at what Unknown Worlds may be testing for future Subnautica 2 updates.
