Here is where to find and capture Palumba in Palworld 1.0.
Palumba is a large tropical Grass Pal and one of the fastest ground mounts you can unlock relatively early, especially while traveling across grassy terrain.
The easiest place to catch one is the small tropical island located south of the large volcanic island. This is the same island containing the entrance to the Sealed Realm of Terraria crossover dungeon.
In this step-by-step guide, I show the island’s exact location on the Palworld map, provide the coordinates, demonstrate the easiest route to reach it, and lead you directly to the areas where Palumba regularly spawn.
Palumba are extremely common around this island and frequently travel in pairs, making it easy to capture several copies during one visit. You may also see groups performing their strangely suggestive tropical dance, which is apparently used for courtship, combat, boredom, and nearly every other social interaction Palumba can think of.
Once you find one, weaken it carefully and use an appropriate Pal Sphere. Palumba is a Grass Pal, so Fire attacks are effective, but avoid using too much damage if your goal is a successful capture.
After catching Palumba, I return to my base and provide a full breakdown of its:
• Health, Attack, and Defense
• Active combat skills
• Exclusive Dash Kick attack
• Work suitability
• Mounted movement speed
• Palumba Saddle
• Samba Step Partner Skill
• Condensation bonuses
• Strengths as a base worker and exploration mount
Palumba’s Partner Skill, Samba Step, allows it to be ridden after crafting the Palumba Saddle.
While mounted on grass, Palumba receives an enormous movement-speed bonus. The base version increases its grassland speed by 155%, and condensing Palumba makes the bonus even stronger.
This makes Palumba especially useful for quickly crossing:
• Grasslands
• Tropical islands
• Open fields
• Farming regions
• Large stretches of the starter and central islands
Palumba is also an excellent base worker with high Mining, Gathering, and Planting suitability. It can gather crops, plant new fields, and mine resources when you are not using it as a mount.
