Back with the bucket! But also on Bluefin Depot, a stage I haven't got used to since its return, and battling Clam Blitz, always the trickier mode. After a bit of nothing, I dive headlong in to trouble, and somehow survive for quite a few seconds. It's only a little more standing and sloshing when I could be retreating that gets me ultimately splatted. Either way, it wasn't very smart. I try a different approach next, which only works because my squidmates are pressing forwards, and then doesn't because the Inkbrush is trying to viper behind us. They get splatted as I track back, so again I'm on a different route. I grab some clams, flip my course, and head up a wall trailing a power clam. I toss the clam ahead, not being entirely guileless, and catch a splat for my troubles. But the power clam will decay, and the other pinklings aren't going to be drawn in to making themselves vulnerable. No, but I do. Never mind.

Back to the action, and being direct with it. I survive the Aerospray at the top of the lift, but have to dive away from their reinforcements. I head back the other way, and try the ink rail. That's faster, and just in time to benefit from a squidmate breaking the barrier. Nice! I panic-slosh a bit, but bag myself three splats in doing so, and open up the turf to add all my clams to the basket. I pull back and launch an Inkjet, which does little for me as usual, and having backed myself in to a corner I land in to a splatting. So it goes.

The Inkbrush is making another dash, this time with the pink pity clam, and I position myself to interrupt them. One by one the pinklings are splatted, even if we don't make much progress. I try to open up the ink rail again to improve our chances, but encounter the Inkbrush there, and they don't take too kindly to me. My squidmates make progress, at least, and score again as I return, so I grab some nearby clams and find a squidmate under the basket to super-jump to, landing to score three more clams, and get immediately splatted. It was worth it.

I head back to the pink basket, with squidmates clustered around it and a power clam or two there, ignoring a pink power clam passing me. My squidmate with the power clam is splatted, but somehow I manage to pick it up and score. That's it, as I'm splatted afterwards, and probably wasn't worth it, but it still adds to our score. I drop in to a splat on my return, and head back to the basket as the pinklings are deflecting an attack from my squidmates. My timing is impeccable, it seems, as the pinklings believe their work is done, just as I grab the power clam and splat one of them, turning back to break their barrier once more.

I collect the clams I dropped when picking up the power clam and start scoring them, somehow getting the better of the Inkbrush returned to defend, and now a squidmate has turned up to help. They score clams and draw some attention from the returning Splattershot, which makes the Splattershot easier for me to splat, and I throw the last of my clams. We only need two more to win the battle by knockout, but no more squidmates come, and I can't find them in time. I do get a few and head back to the basket to bag a couple more splats, before I'm splatted in the back. And that's okay, because time is running out for the pinklings, and my squidmates punctuate that point by scoring one last time. Woomy!
