This hollow sphere of spheres is made from 5mm neodymium ball magnets formed into 80 R60 (Rhombicosidodecahedron) mini spheres of 60 magnet balls each, which are half nickel and half golden to create a variegated colour effect.
Uses a total of 80 x 60 = 4800 magnetic balls.
Zen magnets maestro Magnenaut has already created a solid version of this shape as a supercluster of 135 mini spheres that can be found here:

My hollow version is in effect a large model of the theoretical B80 fullerene molecule or boron buckyball. This is similar to the better known C60 buckminsterfullerene carbon molecule structure except that the hexagonally arranged spheres have an extra sphere in the centre giving a total of 80 atoms instead of 60.
