Today we will archive a very special type of horror game as this is created by the creative minds behind Spec Ops The Line and also with the music from one of the band members of Nine Inch Nails. The end result is a psychedelic and abstract story about a girl named Katja who lives in a world were a strange calamity has struck.
People around the world cannot go to sleep as when they do, something called the Hush will make them vanish. Different factions use various methods in order to stay awake and the world building and lore is so interesting and make sense. One faction tries to stay awake through physical pain while others connect themselves to machines. There is also the DMT who finds all these factions heretics and each faction is well throught out and feels logical in their own way.
It is therefore a bit of a shame that the second half of the game goes in a different direction and becomes so abstract, that it is at times difficult to understand what is going on. Visually its great and the soundtrack is fantastic, but I do wish the later half was as well thought out in terms of story and lore as the first half.
