Hollow Knight Silksong has been the talk of the town and everybody seems to be enjoying it. Thanks to this game I grew fond of the Metroidvania genre once again and am now excited to try out other 2D Metroidvania games as my experience with those types is very limited.
Silksong is the result of three talented and passionate developers who took their time to mold the game exactly the way they wanted. The game is absolutely massive and holds so many secrets, easter eggs and optional bosses and areas. Many people have talked about the difficulty of the game, but the truth is that many upgrades like weapon upgrades, health increases, abilities, tools, perks and more can be found by exploring and taking your time.
It does still give me quite a bit of stress of how lost you can get in this world, but I enjoyed exploring it so much and the characters are just the best. Especially cute little Sherma has won me over and hope to return to this game many times in the future to seek the optional stuff I missed on my first run.
