Today it is time to go back in time as we archive the newly released Neon Inferno that takes inspiration from side scrolling action games from the early 90's. I have seen a lot of people calling it an homage to Contra, but I mostly see it as its own seperate thing due to its awesome art style, Cyberpunk vibe and music.
The game might look simple, but offers quite a lot of depth. You can shoot both on the foreground and background, you can dodge, parry and also use melee attacks. There are items and other weapons to earn through good scores and you can of course also play this in co-op with a friend.
There are exciting sections on jetskis or on motorbikes and the whole package is just a love letter to the golden age of this genre.
Retro lovers are in good hands with this one!
