After a LONG absence, the once common SD60 has made not one, but TWO appearances on The Canadian National in the Minneapolis area. Once the dominant locomotive on this job, it has since been displaced by new, larger, and more powerful power. Lets chase these SD60s a bit as they make their way around town.
The first train we'll see is at the break of dawn, on a frosty winter morning. Mere minutes after sunrise, we'll see train L506 at Cardigan Jct with an SD60 leading the way. After this, we'll chase it to New Brighton, and watch it make a quick turn back east. On a bitterly cold day, there is even a solo SD60 running! Thrown in the mix are two other SD60s that ran to the Twin Cities this back in May. Along the way, we'll see some cool CPKC action, and spectacular sights! These former Oakway SD60s look great in CN colors, and hopefully they'll appear more often.
