Over the recent years the so called "friend slop" genre has become more popular amongst gamers. Games like Lethal Company, Peak etc. are examples and RV There Yet caters to this audience. There are many friend slop games that do not put a lot of effort in their premise or experience, but I think RV There Yet is a perfect example of how to do friend slop right because the premise is solid and it is just a very cozy experience with friends.
Me and three buddies are tasked with driving our RV from one point of the map to the other. Along the way we have to cross several areas that are difficult to navigate like bridges, ravines and even rivers infested with alligators.
The gameplay never becomes too frustrating or unfair despite it being challenging. The colors are vibrant and the overal atmosphere is super cozy. I hope to find other friend slop gems out there to add to the archives soon.
