We headed to Yarborough Leisure Centre parkrun to meet friends and celebrate Doris' 50th (or 49th as it turned out) parkrun. The weather couldn't have been any better and we had the best time exploring beautiful Lincoln after parkrun. I can't recommend doing this highly enough! We were blown away by the beauty of this city and had such a great time exploring, especially Lincoln Cathedral.
This parkrun attracts a lot of tourists due to it's appeal to those chasing their parkrun alphabet and the rarity of parkruns beginning with the letter Y. This meant there was a really friendly mix of locals and tourists and the team made this such a great occasion.
After running, and grabbing a hot chocolate in the Leisure Centre Café, we loved having brunch at Stokes next to The Lawn Car Park (which is a great place to stay if you're in a motorhome or camper). In terms of a tourist destination then this parkrun, and Lincoln itself, really does have it all!
