This parkrun has everything you need at a parkrun. Café, toilets, parking... But it also has an incredible history that comes with it too! Newark's Civil War Trail finishes here, right by the Queen's Sconce. If you're visiting then do spend time exploring the Sconce and appreciating the beautiful cannon sculpture and the super cool compass showing Newark's defences. It'd also be a great place to watch parkrun if you're bringing spectators with you!

I very much enjoyed the run briefing as it made me smile all the way through it! The team here are simply wonderful and reason enough to visit, although the fascinating history and wonderful café are high up the list of reasons too.
