We headed down to Wales (which was a LONG drive on a Friday night after work!) to celebrate our lovely friend Steve's 500th parkrun. Luckily the drive was worth it as Steve picked an iconic parkrun to celebrate joining the 500 club!
Severn Bridge parkrun is one I've wanted to do for absolutely ages, probably since we discussed the 'Josh Baker smells like a ferret' graffiti that we discussed on the With Me Now podcast! Unfortunately that particular graffiti is long gone but there are some incredible pieces of street art in the finish tunnel.
Not only is the course unique but the team is fantastic and they have capes for celebrating milestones so its a great parkrun to visit if you are celebrating! The flags as you cross the national border are super exciting too and there is just a really lovely feel to this whole parkrun.
Huge thanks to the brilliant volunteer team for a fantastic parkrun morning, next time I visit I'll make sure I have time to head into Wales to explore a bit more as I definitely felt like I was missing out this time!
