Week 6 of our van tour of Ireland brought us to Vandeleur Walled Gardens in County Clare. A beautiful forest one lapper, but the real gem here was the team themselves. I was almost crying in the run brief!

It was awesome to give Poppy her first Garmin... I need to get her hooked on running before she turns 11 and can parkrun on her own. The drop off rates for teenage attendance at parkrun drop off dramatically but I would love Poppy to continue to join me on my running adventures so I'm hoping Poppy decides to run on her own, with me, or with friends .

It made a lovely change to run a forest one lapper. It was totally different from any of the parkruns we have completed so far on our trip, and having that feeling of forest bathing is always a winner as far as I'm concerned.

Next week we're off to the Dingle Peninsula to check out the Republic of Ireland's first beach parkrun: Inch Beach!
