I wanted to take Rob somewhere special to run his 50th parkrun so we got up super early and headed for the Lake District. I had freedom run Fell Foot parkrun in the past so knew that we were in for a treat. The weather couldn't have been kinder with the blanket of fog that covered the views until our very first approach to the lake when it lifted to reveal the true beauty of this beautiful parkrun.
The parkrun partnership with the National Trust is one that I am super passionate about and you're usually guaranteed to run somewhere pretty special at a National Trust parkrun and this was no exception! A stunning run whether you are on the winter or summer course but no dogs or buggies on the winter course so something to keep in mind.
After a short parkfaff at Fell Foot, and a longer parkfaff at Chesters by the River, we headed out into the hills for a wonderful Lake District walk. A short but sweet parkrun adventure and it just goes to show that adventures don't have to be big, or take up loads of time, they can just be a really wonderful day of adventuring somewhere.
Huge thanks to the wonderful team at Fell Foot parkrun for a stunning morning, I wish I'd some to run this spectacular parkrun sooner!
