This olive ridley sea turtle came into our care after the bill of a sailfish pierced straight through her shell. It was a serious injury, but after a complex surgery and weeks of dedicated care, she made a full recovery.
When it came time to release her, she wasn’t in any rush. In true turtle fashion, it took her about 10 business days to make her way back to the sea. We didn’t film the whole thing because the sun was setting and it started to get dark - but trust us, she made it.
