The larger bus improved the arc size a little during the highest on times but I'm still at only about 1/3rd of the input voltage I want. I'm not even getting to 120VDC peak ramps to the SSTC before it starts making that funny popping sound. If it's not due to some need for higher isolation between the primary and secondary I might have maxed out what I can do with this test full bridge and will have to wait to see what I get with the dual full bridge drsstc. OR I'm getting ahead of myself and I need to go back and troubleshoot the buck converter side. I've heard that same kind of popping sound in other builds from time to time but they were running closer to max bus voltage.
