Haven't been able to really get any of these out recently but I managed to land on this lot at a perfect time where new construction has cleared it out making a nice track.. The gate was open.. Then of course I fumble it hard by somehow not checking to see that I had the O4 set to 25mW and then having my Auto ISO way too high. I must have set my drone to 1200mW, then forgot I also need to do that with the other air unit cause it's not a global setting in the goggles. I came back hours later before dusk to do a full power run and then forgot to record the audio. The Fireteam does better than I would have thought on the hard Carolina clay. I still don't like full throttling it on this kind of soil cause it's too easy to hit some little protrusion just right and flip it like I almost did at least once.
I took my rear camera screen off this rig cause I got tired of it obstructing my view when I was driving on inclines. Put the mirror back on to give me a tiny rear view. Still might work in a better rear screen setup later. The HEQ gimbal did ok this run given the terrain. It works ok now where I don't need to do any trickery on it to get it work, just turn it on and it's good to go. I just noticed that I do get some pitch jiggle at top speed on road. It's just not as good as I have the O3 setup on a different truck using the same gimbal.
When I picked up my Pavo Femto a while back I didn't realize that DJI got the shaft in the US at the time. Soon after I found out, I then went and bought a Pavo20 Pro as soon as I saw it was still available at the normal price. This was sort of a way to sneak in an O4 air unit since it was already built into the BetaFPV drone. This may still be possible to do. Either way all things DJI in the US are going for a whole lot more now...
