In September, 2013, I rode Amtrak from Portland, Oregon, to Whitefish, Montana, to visit Glacier Park and to do some rail fanning on Marias Pass. The Portland section of the Empire Builder left at 3:45pm and arrived at 7:30am in Whitefish. This video is shot onboard between Portland and Pasco, Washington, and shows some of the marvels found along the Columbia River. Due to the constant rattling of the door to my roomette and the persistent prattling of my neighbors who insisted on standing in the corridor to talk, I chose to use some MP3 tracks by Jason Shaw (audionautix.com) for the sound.
