In part 2 of this series, the westbound manifest had continued its journey after dropping off a locomotive to help the stack train in this video over the summit at Tehachapi. Now the stack train departs Caliente and heads around the 180 degree turn and up the hill. In the beginning of the video the focus comes and goes due to the low light at 4:40pm and the valley fog drifting up from Bakersfield. Part 1 of the series shows the actual motive power swap.
