The first Sunday in April welcomed the Niles Canyon Railway Double Steam Day. Normally, the tourist railroad runs one diesel and one steam excursion train on the first and third Sundays of the month. On this day, however, they steamed up the Robert Dollar No. 3, a 2-6-2T built in 1927, and the Clover Valley Lumber No. 4, a 2-6-6-2T built in 1924.
