On vacation during September, 2015, I drove from Boston to Albany, NY. My railfan guidebook noted Palmer, MA, as a good train watching spot. Since it was on my route, I pulled off the interstate and spent a couple of hours at Palmer Junction where the CSX and New England Central cross. My lone catch was an eastbound CSX auto rack train powered by a pair of GE ES44AC’s.
