I recently moved to Reno NV where the railfan opportunities are fewer than those in my previous home in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is especially true given the fact that we get real winter weather here. As a consequence, I’ve been going back through my 35mm film archive to find content to share.
This video is a slide show of the second day of my 2002 trip to Chama NM for a railfan trip on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. It starts with the climb up from Antonito CO to Lava Loop and ends with a couple of runbys at Tanglefoot Loop just east of Cumbres Summit.
