Rather than have a second HM user, I teach Cut to Galvantula over Gasro Acid - I'm mainly only using it for Electric STAB and Paralysis suspport so the 4th move slot is free to be honest.
I immediately head into Victory Road, where the bulk of the part takes place.
Head for the NW in the first area. The second area is a bit more open, head for the NW across the water and take on the trainers including the healer. Volcarona gets Quiver Dance after beating the Healer so its usefulness is about to snowball. At this point I head into the cave and give Lucario the lead spot, he is going to be doing most of the work against the champion.
Head to the SW for treasure then leave via the S exit to be in the open area again.
Head across the water and down the Waterfall and into a cave to the S.
Continue S and past the double battle and then E at the next split so this area gets cleaned up and you're back at the beginning. Head back to the second internal area and take the SW exit this time.
Head across a bridge and to the SW to enter a forest area, where you'll need Cut to get the treasures. Loop around again to the second cave and this time take the N path for a Strength puzzle and leave via the NE. Galvantula gets Bug Buzz on the way out, which is a nice upgrade over Signal Beam. Outside you'll be scaling the side of the mountain and you'll catch a glimpse of a Zoroark on the way up.
Start by taking the W most split and descending the cliff and entering the cave at a new area, which you'll quickly find to be the NW of the second cave area, however by solving the Strength puzzle you can now access the N room here.
We'll end up at the other splits on the way, and find the Zoroark. However we can't pass it, yet. Now we can leave this area by heading N and next to some construction work your rival challenges you. He gives you the Thunderbolt TM for winning and cheers you on for the League. At this point I use my Rare Candies. I didn't really need too, especially on Lucaro.
I probably could have kept them for the two new members I'll get for the post-game, but I grind one of them off-screen because of how late into the post-game it comes (just before PWT content).
Speaking of PWT, this is where I head to check any moves, I want to teach and then head to Castelia Sewers to find the last Red Shard I need to teach Ice Punch to Lucario over Close Combat, giving him the Physical Bolt/Beam as well as Swords Dance and recovery from Drain Punch.
I head back to the Pokémon League and heal and save up.
