Near to the starting base camp there's an Alpha Bronzong, so I make capturing that the firstt order of business, and Gible is able to evole into Gavite after this.
Speak with Ingo for a battle and then you'll be given the ability to traverse with Sneasler, who can scale cliffs - opening up a decent amount of previous areas.
The first place I explore is the NW of Cobalt Coastlands after taking a request from Bosley. There's a cave that can be entered, but wit nothing to do right now.
I head back to Coronet Highlands beging exploring through climbing, encountering Gligar and an Alpha Gliscor, which I catch. The Alpha Gliscor is at level 77, so could potentially serve you right until the end of the game (and post-game). The Alpha Gabite was my main focus, however. It takes a good chunk of this video up, but is ultimately worth it. I leave it for now to explore more of the region.
There's an Alpha Steelix roughly in the centre of the named places I've discovered and I catch that along with a nearby Chimeco.
It's at this point I shift focus to the Gabite, the first attempt fails, so I regroup at the base camp. On the way back there's a Space-time distortion, so I decide to investigate it.
Thankfully I find and capture another Eevee as part of a trio Pokemon, also capturing the accompanying Drapion and Magmortar. I black out trying to capture a Shieldon, but at least I know where to catch one of the fossil Pokemon now.
At this point I do head back for the Alpha Gabite. I knock it out once and as it doesn't respawn after sleeping, I leave the area to rank up and hand in some requests.
Finally, I head back and nab the Alpha Gabite and catch it in battle. At level 56 it fits in with my team level, without being too overpowered. I instantly evolve it into Garchomp.
Piplup takes Staraptor's spot so I can begin evolving it and the part ends.
