Hosted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Sector Dialogue on Tourism for Sustainable Development brings together companies, associations, academia, civil society and public institutions to position tourism as a driver of sustainable development. The platform highlights dialogue-based and cooperative approaches that are increasingly important in international cooperation.
Through diverse initiatives, members demonstrate how partnerships can foster change, strengthen participation and promote sustainable practices across the tourism system, thereby enhancing destination resilience. These examples illustrate different models of cooperation, provide insights into progress, and reflect on remaining challenges.

ZinMai Experiences, in collaboration with the TUI Care Foundation, illustrates how community-led tourism in Northern Thailand can support sustainable livelihoods. The Tourism Impact Assessment South Africa: From Findings to Action
