KULT News was in Pensacola, FL. at the end of March and early April (2025) where we caught the Blue Angels practicing and we caught some flak from the locals for recording in public. As always, we had the cops called on us (more than once) but would law enforcement recognize and respect our rights or would they try to violate them?

Laws may vary but, generally speaking, in the United States, if you are in public you are legally able to photograph whatever you can see. Simply put, your eyes can’t be trespassed. Obviously there are some restrictions on this (i.e., bathrooms, dressing rooms, most courtrooms, locker rooms, etc.) but very few when you are in public. If you can see it, you can shoot it (this rule only applies to cameras.) This is not legal advice.
