Our HEAVIEST Lift Ever - Lifting a 153,000lb CAT Excavator. Is this the heaviest excavator lift on YouTube with 2 rotators? Even more so that one of the rotators is just a 50ton, not even an M100 or NRC HIM. I knew our rigging and position would have to be pin point accurate to even attempt this so Alex and I brought our A-game.
You'd figure getting this thing in the air would be the hard part, but turns out that award belonged to getting the unit to rest on the trailer. For a multitude of reasons, we were stuck on this job for 9 hours. The unit was 100% not able to run, nor was it able to move or pivot in any way. This made placing it on the trailer that was brought impossible since the arm was resting on the travel beam.
Cue hours of waiting, until eventually a mechanic was able to show up and relieve some pressure and bring wood for cribbing. The job was probably a combined 15 hours over 2 days when you include driving, and I tried my absolute best to condense it down to an enjoyable amount. Even with that it came out to about 90 minutes, but I hope it's worth it!
