A fully loaded pneumatic trailer carrying approximately 50,000 pounds of salt suffered a catastrophic landing gear failure at the Morton Salt facility, sending the nose crashing to the ground.
The boss stated the landing gear was damaged, so the driver set it on wood and pulled out. Boom, that's all it takes. Luckily, I was there to assist with my ex-rotator, Hulk 1.0 which is now Dave's rotator.
Recovering a standard trailer is one thing... but lifting a fully loaded pneumatic trailer without causing even more damage is a completely different challenge. Using a spreader bar with married lines and all synthetic rigging, I got this bad boy safely back on its feet. Well, under a semi technically lol.
