On May 25, 2024, Dodge County Dispatch advised Deputies of a FLOCK hit on a vehicle whose owner came back wanted for an attempted homicide, the suspect (Jordan) who was considered to be possibly armed and dangerous began to flee when he noticed deputies behind him before they even turned their lights and sirens on. Jordan began to drive recklessly, swerving around cars and driving on the wrong side of the road before coming to a stop and fleeing on foot. One of the Deputies' guns fell from his duty belt while chasing Jordan, and deployed his taser which was ineffective. The body camera on one of the deputies was not working and did not record most of the foot pursuit. While fleeing, Jordan turned around and started to charge at a deputy who drew his batton and struck Jordan in the leg. The deputy was able to tackle him to the ground and wait for other deputies to assist in detaining him. Jordan was placed in handcuffs and escorted to a squad car. He began cursing loudly towards the officers demanding a cigarette and kicked the door when a deputy tried to close it, so they removed him to put a restraint belt around his legs. He then kicked the side of the squad car again when he got out and was placed in the restraint and transported to jail. In the back of the squad car, Jordan became very angry demanding a cigarette again and making threats. At the jail, Jordan was resisting and spit at a correctional officer. He banged his head on a window and was placed in a spit mask. A search of the vehicle revealed a half full beer in the cupholder. Jordan was found guilty for Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude Officer, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, Possess Open Intoxicants in MV-Driver, Driving Wrong Way on Divided Highway, and Speeding on Expressway (35+ MPH). He was sentenced to 10 months in jail and 3 years of probation. He was ordered to pay over $2100 in fines. His attempted homicide case is still pending.
