On March 9, 2025. Officers from the Waupaca Police Department were outside of a bar for an unrelated incident when they observed what appeared to be a fight occurring inside of the bar. Officers ran into the bar and saw a male (Timothy) being held against a wall as other patrons were screaming at him. An officer pointed his taser at Timothy and ordered him to the ground. Timothy complied and was handcuffed before being escorted to a squad car.
Witnesses were questioned about what led to the altercation. They explained that the victim “called out” Timothy for something he did in the past. The witnesses then stated that Timothy became upset and attacked the victim as he attempted to leave the bar. The victim was then pulled to the side and asked what happened. He explained that Timothy asked him to play a round of darts but he told Timothy no due to having prior issues with him. The victim stated that he attempted to leave the bar after that when Timothy began punching him repeatedly before law enforcement arrived.
Timothy was then asked for his side of the story. He explained that he has been accused of stuff in the past but did not wish to go into detail. Timothy explained that he got into an argument with another male and admitted to getting physical and throwing punches. He explained that he messed up and that it was "mutual". Timothy then asked if officers could retrieve his jacket and hoodie from inside the bar and an officer was able to locate them. The victim did not wish to press charges against Timothy. Officers decided to give Timothy a ride home so he did not have to find a taxi. Timothy was found guilty for disorderly conduct and required to pay a $263 fine.
