On June 8, 2024. An officer from the UW-Marquette Police Department was directing traffic when a vehicle began entering the intersection even though he had a red light. The officer shouted at the driver (Jordan) that he had a red light and that he needed to wait. Jordan then quickly accelerated, almost striking the officer and decided to flee from the scene. He was later caught and found guilty for 2 counts of Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude Officer. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 6 years of probation.
