On Dec. 12, 2015, the Paris Agreement was adopted by 195 nations. The mood was celebratory; Canada issued statements like "Canada is Back!" The purpose of the agreement was to reduce global emissions and keep global warming under 1.5 degrees Celsius, over pre-industrial temperatures. But a decade later, there was no party for Paris. Minister Julie Drabusin issued a subdued tweet; Catherine McKenna, who signed Canada on to the agreement in 2015 posted a Facebook comment, claiming that (thanks to Paris Agreement) "We've bent the curve from a 4 degree C future to closer to a 2.5 degree C future." But that's misinformation! The very thing McKenna and the climate cult claim must be stamped out. The only reason the future is 'closer to a 2.5 degree C" is that the climate activist community had been using a completely unrealistic projection known as "RCP 8.5" which had no basis in reality. Now they have discarded it, and are using it to claim that they 'bent the curve'. In fact, as Steve Milloy of Junk Science points out, after 10 years and $10 TRILLION dollars of effort, emissions rose 12%. The Paris Agreement accomplished nothing but economic destruction - especially in Canada. Save. Canada. Quit Paris. Build Pipelines. Support our work with a donation or become a member.
