Recently, a Canada-Alberta Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was struck with the main purpose, for Alberta, being the agreement by the federal government for a new pipeline to the West Coast of British Columbia. At the moment, there is no corporate proponent, but Alberta, as a province, is trying to gain clarity for any future corporations interested in developing such a project. Prime Minister Carney has spoken a great deal about "Team Canada" and a nation working together in a 'One Canada' economy, but as soon as the MOU was announced, British Columbia's Premier David Eby denounced the plan; a group of Coastal First Nations denounced the plan (and the necessary repeal of the existing oil tanker ban). It turns out that is a group of foreign-funded anti-oil activists. Then Yves Francois Blanchet of the Bloc Quebecois also denounced the pipeline and said he would stand with BC to stop it. And then Manitoba's Premier Wab Kinew took a cheap shot at Alberta while making an announcement about a build out of transmission lines in his province. "Albertans get rich on pipelines" ... in fact, all of Canada benefits economically from pipelines! As all this was unfolding, the United States issued a new national strategy document, which appears to be an updated version of the Monroe Doctrine of 1823. This was a national policy intended to ward off any EU influence on America. In the strategy document, the USA denounces Net Zero and climate change policies as destructive, and expresses concern over civilizational collapse in the coming years in Europe. What does this mean for Canada and Canadians? Canada has Net Zero obligations enshrined in law, and Prime Minister Carney is doing everything he can to get us to join the European Union! We'll have to see how things progress, but the MOU has shown that we have a 'unity clown show' in Canada - and it is destroying our country.
