Penn Rail Videos takes you trackside to witness one of the finest shows of steam railroad preservation in 2015.
Nickel Plate Road 765 is featured on an excursion from Allentown to Pittston, PA, traveling through the Lehigh Gorge State Park. The engine's muscle is put to the test with the heavy mountain grades. The excursion runs over mainly portions of former Lehigh Valley Railroad and Central Railroad of New Jersey trackage, along with the Reading Railroad in Allentown. The sights and sounds of this incredible machine brought out people by the hundreds, as you'll see in many of our clips.
Special thanks goes out to all the organizations for putting together this fantastic weekend of trips. Of all the steam excursions Penn Rail Videos has ever followed, this one was by far one of our favorites. Hopefully we'll see the 765 again sooner, rather than later.
