On Sunday, September 13th, 2015, Penn Rail Videos had a short chase of the Reading & Northern #425. This excursion was from Pittston, PA to Jim Thorpe, PA and return.
We opted to meet the 425 in Jim Thorpe, and follow her northbound. First, a few scene in the historic town. Later, we are positioned just north of Glen Onoko in the Lehigh Gorge State Park. Further north, we found a few rays of sunshine on this cloudy day, as that beautiful Southern Railway six-chime whistle echos through the mountains at Penobscot.
We know this isn't a full length production, but we at least wanted to show everyone footage of the 425 in it's new dress. We think the Reading & Northern staff did a great job on the paint, and it looks phenomenal. We want to thank the Reading & Northern for always putting on a great show.
