Today we return to the colorful universe of MiSide. This was a giant indie hit at the end of 2024 and tells the story of a videogame character that might not be as innocent as she looks.
It combined cute visuals with plenty of minigames and geniune horror and resulted in a very unique mix. MiSide Zero is a fan game that serves as a prequel to the original game and tells the story of player Zero interacting with Mita. In terms of look and feel is very much resembles the original game and it was very cool to return to these familiar rooms.
There is plenty to interact with and the writing is pretty solid. I do wish there was more horror in this game though, as I kept waiting for something creepy and it just did not come. This is currently an alpha build, so hopefully in the future we will get a few more scares as that was also what made MiSide so memorable.
