The long wait is finally over and Little Nightmares 3 has arrived! The original creators are working on a new project and Supermassive Games, who are responsible for bangers like Until Dawn, have developed this third entry.
This time we follow two protagonists and this game can be played in online co-op. But singleplayer also works fine with your companion being competent and it even has some cute, unique animations that you would not see if you were to play with a friend.
This time we travel to new, uncharted areas like a massive desert, a creepy carnival and a giatn factory. Some of the new enemies are also very cool and creepy like the tall spiderlady or the enemy who uses a creepy handpuppet to hunt you down.
The puzzles themselves also are pretty traditional, but require you to work together sometimes. The atmosphere is great and in the end it is a good game, but it never surpasses the earlier two titles in any way. It misses that special charm that made the first two games so excellent and this is simply fine. The story is also not that memorable and I am curious if we ever will see a Little Nightmares 4.
