In mid February I go on a solo hot tenting trip to return to a base camp we made in the bush a few weeks previous. Nothing too exciting, just routine. In this Part 1, I set up camp with the advantage that the snow in the camp we made is already packed and sintered hard, even after a few weeks when I was there before.
