My take on the tech specs most relevant to me and the way I use a stick stove with wood. Everything is a pro on this excellent stove, with only one con that I can find - its weight. The company is the first to say the stove is not a piece of UL backpacking gear. But for many other uses I think it is a great, versatile, portable stick/ wood stove with uses such as: group hiking and canoe trips where the common gear load can be shared; vehicle camping; day trips in front country; home and vehicle emergency preparedness; and for back yard burning and cooking especially for urban dwellers where big open fires are not suitable, and for apartment dwellers. In the city you can have a fire with little sticks, wood pellets, splits you make from scraps wood, or charcoal and have lots of burning power. I burn this stove in the evenings in my back yard using wood chips and splits from my firewood pile, practicing fire craft skills, making coffee and cooking meals.
There are many uses that I don't use such as: solid fuel tablets that can be used with the ash pan on the top setting; wood pellets; and with steel bottles and little cups using their top plate accessory which I don't have; and a top grill plate (which I don't have) that is used for meat and other grilled food options.
I recommend you buy or make an extra set of fire sticks if you are going to purchase, as they give you more versatility, especially with alcohol stoves.
